Let's be honest, this is a problem area for us. Tk for Mac OS X is the newest Tk port, and it's still got a lot of work to go to really shine. The folks involved in doing this are doing a great job, but there are far too few people involved now.

My belief is that this is actually important to Tk's long term success. Mac OS X is gaining a lot of traction amongst the scripting crowd (take a look at the number of iBooks and PowerBooks at most tech conferences these days), and not having a reasonable Mac OS X port of Tk may well preclude its use in the minds of many people. This is particularly the case because some of the alternatives to Tk are picking up steam in terms of improving Mac OS X support (e.g. the wxWindows guys are getting some help with that from the folks at Mitch Kapor's OSAF project so it can be used in Chandler).

DKF: Well, I don't know the API or have the system, so I can't do very much to assist.
